MyNubs, LLC ("MyNubs," "we," "us") operates the website mynubs.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how you can control it. We try to use plain English. If anything is unclear, contact us.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you use a calculator, you may enter information like your pet's name, weight, age, and activity level. We do not transmit this information to our servers — it stays in your browser unless you choose to save it (such as through a future Pet Profile feature). When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.

Information collected automatically. When you visit MyNubs, our servers and analytics tools may automatically collect: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages visited, time spent on each page, and the referring URL. We use this to understand traffic and improve the site.

Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics, and (in the future) advertising or affiliate tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser settings — some site features may not work properly without them.

How we share your information

Service providers. We use third-party services for hosting (Netlify), analytics (such as Google Analytics), email delivery (such as Beehiiv or ConvertKit), and similar functions. These providers have access to limited information necessary to perform their services.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or others.
Business transfers. If MyNubs is acquired or merged, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Your choices

Newsletter: Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time.
Browser data: You can clear your browser storage to delete any locally stored pet profile data.
Cookies: Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings.
Data requests: If you'd like to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you, submit a request through our contact form.

Regional privacy rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct inaccurate information, to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and to be free from discrimination for exercising your rights.

EU/UK residents (GDPR). You have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Our legal bases for processing are: your consent (newsletter), legitimate interests (analytics, site security), and legal obligation (where applicable).

Children's privacy

MyNubs is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention & security

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Newsletter subscribers' email addresses are retained until they unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained per our analytics provider's default settings (typically 14-26 months).

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure. Use the site at your own risk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. We will notify newsletter subscribers of material changes via email.
