A small team obsessed with making pet care decisions less stressful — built from a real frustration with how hard it is to get a straight answer about your dog or cat.
Founder & Editor
Kevin is the founder and editor of MyNubs. A product builder and designer with a background in complex data systems, he previously founded GLVTS and Blickr — companies built around turning messy, complicated data into clear, usable answers. He started MyNubs after one too many frustrating searches for straight answers about feeding, aging, and everyday care for dogs and cats.
Our review process
Every health-related calculator on MyNubs is built from formulas published by veterinary organizations like AAHA, AAFP, and the AVMA, with sources cited on the page. Our editorial team reviews each tool for accuracy and clarity before it's published. We're actively recruiting a licensed veterinarian to formally review our health content — and we'll introduce them right here when they join the team.

I built MyNubs because I was tired of Googling my pet's calorie needs and getting twelve different answers, half of them wrong. The internet has a lot to say about how to care for dogs and cats — but most of it is buried under ads, written by people who've never owned a pet, or so vague it's useless when you're standing in the kitchen trying to figure out how much to feed Smudge tonight.
MyNubs is the site I wished existed. Every calculator on it is built on the same formulas veterinarians use in everyday practice — pulled from published guidelines by AAHA, AAFP, AVMA, WSAVA, and the Merck Veterinary Manual. We show our math. We cite our sources. And we're actively building a veterinary review process so every health calculator gets professional scrutiny before it reaches you.
If MyNubs saves you a few minutes of confused Googling — or helps you have a better conversation with your own vet — we've done our job. Thanks for being here.
We're actively looking for licensed veterinarians, writers, and pet care experts to contribute to MyNubs. If that sounds like you, get in touch — we'd love to hear from you.
